Slap shots count as shots; missing or unsupported data stays unclear unless the shot type alone supports a read.
The breakdown includes every attempt, including unclear finishes. Shot type is available for 11; usable release locations for 11. Profiles need at least 8 attempts and 60% classified; a lean needs at least twice as many estimates of one style as the other. A release location cannot reveal the approach side, fakes, or the target in the net. No backhands in this period does not mean a player never dekes.
Career scoring patterns use 4 fixed comparisons: backhands versus wrist and snap shots combined; far versus close releases overall; far versus close wrist and snap releases; and likely shots versus likely dekes.
